Bridgeport Completes Season Sweep with 4-1 Win

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators fell to the visiting Bridgeport Sound Tigers 4-1 in their final game of the team's two-game season series. C.J. Motte earned the victory in his first professional start in net for the visitors as he stopped 29 of 30 shots faced.

Mike Halmo opened the scoring with his first goal of the night 15:38 into the game on an unassisted goal. Bridgeport took the 1-0 advantage into the first intermission despite being outshot by the B-Sens 14-5.

Ryan Pulock doubled the Sound Tigers' lead just past the five-minute mark of the second on a power-play goal assisted by Aaron Ness and Alan Quine. Bridgeport outshot their hosts 11-8 in the frame to carry the 2-0 lead into the final 20 minutes of play.

Binghamton managed to cut Bridgeport's lead to 2-1 when Max McCormick swiped home a rebound 7:44 into the 3rd, but Halmo's second of the night came less than two minutes later to restore the Sound Tigers' two-goal lead. Griffin Reinhart added a backhanded goal with just over six minutes to play in regulation to push the final score to 4-1.

Peter Mannino allowed four goals on 26 shots faced in the losing effort for Binghamton.
