
Brian Gornick and Evgueni Nourislamov Sign AHL Contracts with Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (September 8, 2004) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing Brian Gornick and defenseman Evgueni Nourislamov to AHL contracts.
Gornick, 24, appeared in 24 games with Cincinnati (AHL) last season, recording 1 goal, 1 assist and 12 penalty minutes. In 18 games with San Diego (ECHL) last season, Gornick tallied 9 goals, 15 assists and 10 penalty minutes. In 78 career AHL games, all with Cincinnati, Gornick has recorded 3 goals, 5 assists and 26 penalty minutes. A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Gornick was selected by Anaheim in the ninth round, 258th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Nourislamov, 22, appeared in 32 games with San Diego, recording 1 goal, 9 assists and 28 penalty minutes. A native of Rogliatti, Russia, Nourislamov appeared in 152 career games with Drummondville (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), tallying 17 goals, 49 assists and 181 penalty minutes.
