
Phantoms unveil new web site

(PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 8, 2004) - The Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League today unveiled an exciting new look to their web site at www.phantomshockey.com. Among the new features this season are movie reviews by players, a ticker at the top of the homepage and a wireless section.
The top of the homepage now features a full-width banner of a Phantoms player that changes every time you visit the site or refresh the page. Each page is also bordered by two columns of links and features, including the new player movie reviews and Email Phlex, as well as returning favorites like Where Are They Now, Phun Phacts, Email The Phantoms and Phlex's Fan Poll.
Also on the right column is Phantoms Wireless, which will allow cell phone and wireless handheld device users access to Phantoms news, schedule & results and roster information from the web site. The homepage's new ticker will include Phantoms game results, news, story links and birthday greetings to kids club members.
Other content additions include a countdown to opening night on the homepage, a memory game in the Kids section, new wallpaper in the Multimedia section, an all-time roster in the History section, and a more-detailed look to the promotions page.
Phantoms fans can also look forward to the return of "This Date in Phantoms History" on Oct. 1, and the most informative Phantoms box score ever.
"The Phantoms organization takes pride in offering one of the most informative and attractive-looking web sites in professional sports," said Phantoms Vice President Jim Garino. "Our web team has outdone themselves once again with the re-design and we think our fans will really enjoy exploring the site with all its new features and pages."
