Braves edge 'Hens

, OH - The Richmond Braves beat the Toledo Mud Hens 3-2 Tuesday at Fifth Third Field. The Braves scored three times in the sixth inning and held off a late Mud Hens rally to beat Toledo for the third time in four games.

Richmond's sixth inning uprising began with an RBI double by Barbaro Canizares. He came home on an RBI single by Jason Phillips. Phillips scored what proved to be the winning run on a Carl Loadenthal single. The Mud Hens scored twice in the seventh. Erick Almonte doubled a run home and scored on a fielder's choice.

Brian Lawrence earned the win. Jorge Julio collected a save. Yorman Bazardo took the loss. Former R-Brave Mike Hessman had two hits and a walk for Toledo.
