Bravehearts take game 2 of I-190 series from Dirt Dawgs

In the 2nd game of the 8 game I-190 series the Worcester Bravehearts defeated the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs by a 7-2 score.
Starting pitcher Kyle Slinger (Tufts) was solid for the Bravehearts, going 6 2/3 while only surrendering 4 hits, 1 earned run and striking out five.
The Bravehearts' bats came out early as they scored 5 of their runs in the first 2 innings. They were aided in their efforts by 3 Dirt Dawgs' errors.
The Dirt Dawgs mounted a come back in the 7th as Austin Botts (Lock Haven) singled to score Mike Corin (URI)
Mattingly Romanin (Chicago State) blasted a solo shot for the Dawgs in the 8th.
However, it was not enough as Mike Sheehan earned the save for Worcester going 3 1/3 striking out three to earn the save.
The Dirt Dawgs host the Nashua Silver Knights on Wednesday, June 11th. Kevin O'Connor (Assumption) will get the start. First pitch is set for 6:35 PM.
