GAME NOTES: The WHEAT KINGS look to extend their second longest winning streak of the season Tuesday night when they kick off a 4-game in six night Western Hockey League road trip in MEDICINE HAT against DARREN HELM, KRIS RUSSELL and the TIGERS...BRANDON has won four straight games, including three on home ice to tighten their grip on first place in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Division...BRANDON enters Tuesday's game with a record of 25-15-2-6, good for 58 points and third place in the Eastern Conference, behind the TIGERS and KOOTENAY ICE...As a result of Saturday's impressive 5-1 victory over t he SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS, the WHEAT KINGS moved ten games over the .500 mark for the first time this season...BRANDON is 16-3-1-3 on home ice (best home ice record of any team in the Division) this season and 9-12-1-3 on the road...The WHEAT KINGS snapped a 2-game winless streak (0-1-0-1) on the road with a 5-2 win over the WARRIORS in MOOSE JAW last Wednesday...The WHEATS are 7-2-0-1 in their last ten games...2-2-6 in games decided by overtime this year...5-2-0-1 in 2007 and 7-2-0-2 since the club's 10-day Christmas break...BRANDON plays in LETHBRIDGE on Wednesday, the HITMEN in CALGARY on Friday before closing out the trip against the KOOTENAY ICE in Cranbrook on Sunday night...Eight of 13 games this month will be played on the road...Eight of 12 games next month, however, will be played at the Keystone Centre.

PLANTE OFFICIALLY SETS CLUB RECORD: Netminder TYLER PLANTE made history Friday night, blanking SPOKANE 1-0 and registering his 9th career WHL shutout (10th career if you include the one that he shared with KURT JORY on Sept. 29th 2006)...PLANTE broke the previous record of 8 that he shared with JAMIE HODSON and current WASHINGTON CAPITALS' coach GLEN HANLON...PLANTE enters Tuesday's game with a sparkling 2.67 goals against average in 37 appearances...He's also played in 147 career games to move into a third place tie with ROBERT McVICAR for third place on the club's all time list for games played.

OTHER MILESTONES: Defenceman DUSTIN KOHN picked up his 100th career assist in Wednesday's win over MOOSE JAW...Newly acquired left-winger ROB KLINKHAMMER, who is 1-3-4 in five games with the WHEAT KINGS, is currently 3 points shy of 100 in his WHL career. The former LETHBRIDGE HURRICANE scored his first goal in a BRANDON uniform in Saturday's win over the BRONCOS...17-year old defenceman KEITH AULIE scored his first ever WHL goal and had his first ever multi-point game Saturday night (1-1-2) against SWIFT CURRENT...All star center CODEY BURKI is 7 assists shy of 100 and 11 games away from 250 in his career.

LAST GAME: The WHEAT KINGS jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead en route to a 5-1 victory over the visiting SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS on Saturday...KEITH AULIE and ROB KLINKHAMMER each scored a goal and set up another while singles came off the sticks of MARK DERLAGO, TYLER DITTMER and RYAN REAVES...Swiss scoring star JURAJ SIMEK added a pair of assists for the WHEAT KINGS, who received a 26-save performance from TYLER PLANTE...BRANDON outshot the BRONCOS 47-27 in winning its first game against SWIFT CURRENT (1-2-1-0) during the 2006-07 regular season.

VS. MEDICINE HAT: BRANDON is 1-2-0 against the TIGERS this season...ANDREW CLARK is 2-2-4 and JEFF TOPILKO is 2-1-3 in three games against MEDICINE HAT...Netminder TYLER PLANTE has a 3.37 goals against average and a .910 save percentage...BRANDON is 4-19 with the man advantage while killing off 20-23 (87%) TIGER powerplay chances.

BY THE NUMBERS: CODEY BURKI remains among the WHL scoring leaders (23-35-58) while MARK DERLAGO has 31 goals and 53 points...DERLAGO'S 17 powerplay goals are tied for the league lead...DUSTIN KOHN, who was the victim of a knee-on-knee collision with SWIFT CURRENT'S LEVI NELSON on Saturday night, remains among the league's top scoring defenceman (2-34-36)...NetminderTYLER PLANTE is among the league leaders in appearances (37), wins (19), save percentage (.913) and minutes played (2206).

DID YOU KNOW? MARK DERLAGO leads the club with 5 game winning goals...DUSTIN KOHN leads the team with a +15 ranking, followed by RYAN REAVES at +12...When outshooting their opponent, the WHEATS are 15-5-0-3 and they're 19-0-0-4 when leading through 40 minutes of play and 18-3-2-2 when they score the game's first goal...TYLER PLANTE'S career goals against average in 147 games is 2.87.
