Brandon Show Joins Salem Red Sox Roster

The Salem Red Sox have transferred RHP Kyle Kraus to Double-A Portland and received RHP Brandon Show from Short Season-A Lowell. Show will wear number 15 and is active for tonight's game in Lynchburg.

In his second stint with Salem, Kraus pitched just once, delivering three innings and allowing one unearned run during Wednesday's 8-7 loss in Myrtle Beach. Over four appearances in 2015 with the Red Sox he has two saves and a perfect 0.00 ERA in eight innings pitched. Kraus returns to Portland, where he owns a 0-1 record and a 4.98 ERA with one save over 13 appearances, two starts, and 43.1 innings pitched.

Show was selected by Boston in the 38th round of the 2014 draft out of the University of San Diego. He made his professional debut with the Loewll Spinners in 2014 and went 1-1 with a 7.13 ERA in 17.2 innings through 12 relief appearances. In 2015, he has earned a 0.93 ERA and a 1-0 record in three appearances and 9.2 innings pitched with Lowell. He also pitched once for Low-A Greenville, delivering four shutout innings to earn the win on May 31 against Lexington. 

Show last pitched on June 30 for Lowell with three shutout innings against the Vermont Lake Monsters. 

The Red Sox roster sits at the league maximum of 25 players with four on the disabled list.
