Brampton's Cann Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trevor Cann of the Brampton Beast is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 24-30. It is the second time in his career that he has won the weekly honor.

Cann went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .961 in two appearances last week.

The 25-year-old made 32 saves in a 4-3 win at Rapid City on Wednesday and then stopped all 41 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory against the Rush on Friday.

A native of Oakville, Ontario, Cann has appeared in 10 games for the Beast this season posting a record of 4-3-1 with one shutout, a 3.94 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912.

Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (49th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Cann has appeared in 40 career ECHL games with Brampton, Florida and Colorado with an overall record of 19-14-2 with five shutouts, a 3.22 goals-against average and a save percentage of .897. He has also seen action in 45 career American Hockey League games with Lake Erie.
