Brahmas trim roster

Fort Worth- Fort Worth Brahmas head coach Al Sims has trimmed his roster by three players, as center Justin Schabes, forward Steve Reid, and right wing Justin Laverdiere have been removed from the Brahmas active roster.

Schabes and Reid have been released, while Laverdiere has been placed on the club's suspended list.

The roster deletions leave the Brahmas with 25 players on their current active roster.

Sims will make additional player evaluations this weekend as the Brahmas will play two preseason games against the Northern Conference rival, the Oklahoma City Blazers.

Today, Friday, October 15, the Brahmas will travel to the Ford Center in Oklahoma City to take on the Blazers at 7:30 p.m. Tomorrow, Saturday, October 16, the Blazers will come to the Metroplex to face off against the Brahmas at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco. Tickets for the Saturday night game in Frisco remain on sale now for just $6.00. All seating for Saturday night's game is general admission.

The Brahmas will open their eighth season in franchise history and their fourth in the CHL on Oct. 22, 2004. After three games on the road two start the season, the Brahmas will return home to Fort Worth on Saturday, Oct. 30 for their home opener at the Fort Worth Convention Center against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
