
Brahmas squeeze by RiverKings 3-1

David Cacciola made 37 saves to carry the Texas Brahmas over the Mississippi RiverKings 3-1 today at the DeSoto Civic Center.
The Brahmas (17-16-1) ended the RiverKings' (22-13-1) four-game winning streak and managed a split of their home-and-home series.
Anders Strome scored his 18th goal of the season and Grant Jacobsen netted his sixth to give the Brahmas a 2-0 first period lead. Ryan Held scored his 13th of the season early in the third period to make it 2-1, but the RiverKings could not tie the game. Jordan Cameron scored into an empty net with 17 seconds remaining for his 15th of the year.
Jeff Van Nynatten made 23 saves for the RiverKings.
The RiverKings host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The pre-game show begins at 9:50 a.m. on Sports 56 WHBQ.
