Brahmas Shut out Americans at Home

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - In the preseason home opener, the Brahmas bounce back from a loss in Allen last night with an impressive 5-0 win over the Americans.

The Brahmas got out in front early with three goals in a one minute span in the first period. Brendon Hodge scored the first at the 8:44 mark, assisted by Kyle Howarth and Alex Curran. Just 33 seconds later, Gregg Eskedjian scored to put the Brahmas up 2-0, assisted by Brendon Hodge and Andrew Lackner. In the next minute, the Brahmas scored yet again, this time from behind a power play goal by Erik Spady, assisted by Phil Fox and Brock Meadows.

The Brahmas got exquisite play in goal from Steve Silverthorn, who got his first action of the season after sitting out last night's game in Allen. Silverthorn stopped all 22 shots fired by the Americans.

Texas added a second period goal from Jordan Kary, assisted by Phil Fox and Adam Hogg, and an empty netter by defenseman Ross Rouleau in the final 2 minutes of the third period to finish off the Americans.
