Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
WICHITA, Kansas - The Brahmas (6-7-2) dropped their second game in a row Friday night, falling to the Wichita Thunder 5-4.
The Brahmas held a 3-2 lead heading into the third period, thanks to goals by Ross Rouleau, Riley Boychuk and Daniel Spivak. For the team captain Rouleau, it was his first goal of the season.
The Thunder offense lifted the team in the third period however, scoring three unanswered goals in the final frame. RG Flath tied the score at three goals apiece just 1:49 into the period, Todd Griffith gave the Thunder a 4-3 edge at the 7:32 mark, and Matt Summers scored his second goal of the night at 14:01.
Brahmas defenseman Erik Spady notched a goal with under three minutes to play in regulation to bring Fort Worth back to within a goal, but it was not enough to catch the Thunder.
Kristofer Westblom started between the posts for the Brahmas, making 24 saves on 29 shots. Torrie Jung stopped 19 of 23 to earn the victory for Wichita.
Fort Worth returns to the NYTEX Sports Centre to host the Quad City Mallards Wednesday, November 28 at 7:00pm. The team then prepares to host the first two of seven total games at the Fort Worth Convention Center Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1.
In an effort to reward fans for their patience this off-season, the Brahmas have reduced individual ticket prices, as well as lowering the price of full-season, half-season and 11-game ticket packages for the 2012-2013 season.
