
Brahmas Drop First of Three Straight vs. Sundogs

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona (March 20) - The Brahmas were defeated by the Arizona Sundogs by the final score of 6-2 Wednesday night at Tim's Toyota Center.
Arizona took an early 1-0 lead at 1:11 of the first period when Kevin Baker fed Jason Morgan on the doorstep for his 17th goal of the season.
The Brahmas answered back at 2:18 as Taylor McReynolds stole the puck in the Sundogs zone and beat Arizona netminder David Brown to-shelf. For McReynolds, the score was his second in nine games since joining the team.
The Sundogs scored the game's next five goals - two in the remainder of the opening frame (Morgan and Cody Purves), two in the second period (both by Kirill Tulupov) and one in the third (Johan Ryd).
Adam Hogg notched his 15th goal of the season at 14:53 of the third period.
Brad Fogal took the loss, making 28 saves on 33 shots faced in net for Fort Worth. Kristofer Westblom saw 5:06 of action in the second period, stopping two of the three shots he faced.
Brown earned his 13th win of the season, stopping 22 of 24 shots for Arizona.
Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play.
With the loss, Fort Worth remains in third place in the Central Hockey League, two points behind the Wichita Thunder and three points behind the first-place Allen Americans.
The Brahmas and Sundogs will meet again twice more to complete the regular season - Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23.
