
Three First Period Goals Push Sundogs to 6-2 Win

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs opened the period with three goals pushing them to a 6-2 win over the Ft. Worth Brahmas, Wednesday night at Tim's Toyota Center.
The Sundogs wasted no time against the Ft. Worth Brahmas scoring three goals in the opening frame. Jason Morgan tucked the puck past Kristofer Westblom's blocker side glove to put Arizona on the board, 1:11 in. Jeff Kyrzakos and Kevin Baker both were credited with the assists. 1:07 later and the Brahmas tallied a goal when Taylor McReynolds scored an unassisted goal. Morgan collected his second of the night scoring a shorthanded goal on a wide open net. Cody Purves tallied the Sundogs' third goal of the period and their second shorthanded goal, with a wrister on the rebound.
Kirill Tulupov extended Arizona's lead in the second period with two goals, registering his first 19 seconds into the middle period, with assists from Derek LeBlanc and Chad Nehring. Five minutes later Tulupov scored again with a slapshot from the blue line.
With 7:36 remaining in the third period Johan Ryd tallied the Sundogs' sixth goal and Ron Meyers was given the assist. 1:29 later and the Brahmas scored their second goal when Adam Hogg chipped the puck past David Brown from the right side crease.
Brown took the win for the Sundogs making 22 saves. Arizona outshot Ft. Worth 36-24. Both the Sundogs and Brahmas were 0-3 on the power play tonight. The Sundogs and Brahmas meet again on Friday at 7:05pm at Tim's Toyota Center.
