
Boston Breakers Re-Sign Midfielder Katie Schoepfer

HANOVER, Mass. (Oct. 22, 2015) - The Boston Breakers announced today that midfielder Katie Schoepfer has re-signed with the club for the 2016 National Women's Soccer League season. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old Waterford, Conn. native served as one of three captains on the Breakers in 2015. Schoepfer, who tallied two assists in 2015, started 17 of the 19 matches she appeared in, logging 1,421 minutes, the most she's played in a single season of professional soccer. She finished the season with 83 appearances in a Breakers uniform, ranking her second all-time in franchise history. The 2016 season will mark her sixth season with the Breakers.
"Katie is a fantastic professional and showed great leadership this past season," Boston Breakers general manager Lee Billiard said. "I'm very pleased she remains a Boston Breaker and will continue to contribute in many ways for the upcoming NWSL season."
