
Chicago Red Stars Select Midfielder Brittany Bock off NWSL Waiver Wire

CHICAGO (Oct. 22, 2015) - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that the Chicago Red Stars have selected midfielder Brittany Bock off of the NWSL Waiver Wire as part of the Offseason Waiver Process.
A native of Naperville, Ill., Bock made 13 appearances in three seasons with the Houston Dash and Sky Blue FC. In 2014, she suffered an ACL injury just 23 minutes into the season opener against Portland Thorns FC and would not return until on May 14, 2015. Bock was originally selected by the Dash with the first pick in the 2014 NWSL Expansion Draft.
The following players were not selected off of waivers (with previous team in parentheses): Rafaela Travalao (Boston Breakers), Suzanne Pires (Boston Breakers), Bia (Boston Breakers), Jordan Jackson (Houston Dash), Ella Masar (Houston Dash), Genoveva Anonma (Portland Thorns FC) and Ajara Nchout Njoya (Western New York Flash).
