Boston Blazers Acquire Veteran Forward Giles From Philadelphia

Boston, MA - Boston Blazers Owner and General Manager Doug Reffue announced today the acquisition of Mat Giles, a 6'4" 245 lb, forward from the Philadelphia Wings. In return, Philadelphia receives Boston's second round selection in the 2010 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft, transition player David Cutten, and future considerations.

Giles, a 13 year veteran comes to the Blazers after recording 13 goals, 18 assists, and 46 loose balls through nine games this season. In his career, Giles has 397 points (186 goals and 211 assists) and has also appeared in three playoff games with the Knighthawks scoring one goal and three assists in post season play.

"We are excited to have Mat join our team," said Reffue. "He offers tremendous experience and strength to our right offensive side which we will need as we look towards a playoff run."
