Wilmington, N.C. - The Sharks picked up seven hits on Saturday night in a pitcher's duel against the Petersburg Generals. The seventh hit was the biggest as it came off the bat of Dylan Bosheers in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Sharks a 1-0 victory and move their record to 8-6 on the year.

The starters for both squads threw great on the hill as Sharks starter Alex Luna threw six innings of scoreless baseball, giving up one hit and striking out four. Tim Koons the starter for the Generals threw eight innings of scoreless baseball and struck out nine.

The bullpens did a great job as well, as Nick Green and Brennen James threw a combined six innings of scoreless baseball and struck out seven.

In the bottom of the tenth with one out, Matt Pollock tried to score from second on a base hit up the middle off the bat of John Fidanza, but a perfect throw from center fielder Nick Christopher gunned down Pollock at the plate.

The Sharks loaded the bases on back-to-back walks and a hit by pitch and with one out in the bottom of the 12th, Dylan Bosheers singled through the left side to score Alex Freedman to give the Sharks 1-0 win.

The Sharks return back home Sunday night with a doubleheader against the Peninsula Pilots at 5:05 p.m.
