
Boone County and Ryle to Play Under the Lights at Champion Window Field

Florence, KY - The Florence Freedom have announced the first high school game to be played at Champion Window Field. Boone County High School will take on Ryle High School under the lights this Friday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m.
"The guys cheered when I told them the news," commented Ryle Manager Pat Roesel. "Getting to play our biggest rival at such a nice facility is going to be great."
Boone County's Manager, Matt Wilhoite feels the similarly about the game. "Prior to this, the only time high schools would get an opportunity to play in a stadium like Champion Window Field would be during the state tournament. This game is a great opportunity for both of the schools as well as the baseball teams," Wilhoite said.
This clash of neighborhood rivals is sure to bring a competitive spirit to the park. "Champion Window Field is a great place to play," mentioned Florence Freedom Assistant General Manager Morgan West. "Having high school baseball here is yet another way the community can enjoy the ballpark."
The game is open to the public and gates will open at 5:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $4.00 for adults, $2.00 for students and children.
Florence Freedom is a member of the Frontier League, a 10-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom will play a 96 game schedule with 48 home games between late May and early September.
