
Books for Basketball continues to spread

Rockford, IL. The Books for Basketball train continues to roll through local elementary schools. P.R. Director, Jay Fields, and Assistant Coach, Troy Farrow, made a special appearance at White Swan Elementary School on Thursday morning.
The Bolts are going on a "reading frenzy" on Friday! In the morning, Fields and Farrow will be at Meehan School in Belvidere to talk about Books for Basketball and Coach Daleo is taking some time to read to kids at New Milford Elementary. Later in the day, Fields and Farrow will do some reading at Haskell Elementary in Rockford.
There are already over 18,000 kids involved in the program! If you would like to get your school involved and have any of the Lightning staff visit your children, call the Rockford Lightning front office at 815-874-4232 or by visit the team website.
Also, don't forget...the first Chris Daleo Coach's Show of the season is set for November 1st at Vicker's Bar and Grill (inside the Mulford Village Shopping Center). There will be drink and food specials for all "Bolt-Heads", plus, it's a great chance to meet with Coach Daleo, his assistant coaching staff, and the Lightning Girls Dance Team. The radio show starts at 7 pm on 1440 WROK, but fans should come early to eat and mingle with the coaches.
