Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
(CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas) - Reid and Reese Ryan, owners and operators of the Corpus Christi Hooks, will be in Corpus Christi this Sunday, December 11th, to sign copies of the book "Season to Remember," the full-color publication that chronicles the Hooks' inaugural 2005 season in pictures. The book-signing event will take place at Barnes & Noble Booksellers on Corpus Christi's Southside from 1:00 until 3:00 Sunday afternoon.
The 120-page coffee table-style book, published by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, has been praised for the quality of the photographs and its general layout. A great display piece for any home, its value as a keepsake can be enhanced by having it signed by the men who were a driving force in bringing affiliated professional baseball back to Corpus Christi for the first time in 46 years.
Copies of "Season to Remember" will be on sale this Sunday at Barnes & Noble for $24.95. The book remains on sale for the same price at the club's retail store - Hook, Line & Sinker - located at Whataburger Field. Due to advance sales, though, limited quantities of the book are available.
Reid Ryan is the Chief Executive Officer of Ryan-Sanders Baseball, and brother Reese is the group's Chief Financial Officer. Their father, Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, is also a majority owner of the club and has written the foreword for the book.
Barnes & Noble is located at 5129 Blanche Moore in Corpus Christi, just off S.P.I.D. behind Romano's Macaroni Grill.
