Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate forward Radovan Bondra on being invited to Slovakia's Under-20 National Team preparation camp ahead of the World Junior Hockey Championship which begins later this month in Helsinki, Finland.

Bondra is one of 29 players invited to the camp and one of only five who are currently playing in North America. The 18-year-old winger has tallied seven goals and nine assists in 30 games with the Giants this season. A native of Trebisov, Slovakia, Bondra was a fifth round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2015 NHL Draft. Bondra was also a part of the Slovak team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Juniors, playing in seven games at last year's tournament.

Slovakia will open the 2016 World Juniors on December 27th against Belarus before playing the Czech Republic, Finland and Russia to complete the preliminary round.

The Giants host the Victoria Royals tonight for Ugly Christmas Sweater Night at the Pacific Coliseum! For tickets, go to TicketLeader.ca or call 604.4.GIANTS (604.444.2687).
