Bombers Work Runway in Charity Luncheon Tomorrow

October 22, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Dayton Bombers News Release

The Dayton Bombers Professional "AA" Hockey team will participate in tomorrow afternoon's 10th Annual Clothes that Work luncheon and fashion show at the David H. Ponitz Canter at Sinclair Community College from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Bombers will work in a variety of roles during the luncheon, including as model escorts, donation collectors and salesmen, encouraging guests to purchase tickets for door prizes.

"Clothes That Work is an excellent local non-profit to work with and a very important and worthwhile cause to get behind," said Bombers President Costa Papista, who this past summer was a contestant in the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" race, benefiting the charitable organization.

Clothes That Work is a non-profit organization that provides gently used interview and work-appropriate clothing to job seekers in Montgomery and Greene County. In addition to receiving interview clothing, clients are coached on personal image tips and trained on interview skills.

"There are thousands of individuals in our community who are seeking employment and an increasing number never dreamed they would need our services," Development Director Lindsay Freels states. "One suit can make all the difference. With a professional look and increased confidence, these job seekers can concentrate on demonstrating their skills during the interview and improve their employment opportunities."

The Bombers are on the road this weekend against Johnstown (Friday, October 24 at 7:05 p.m.) and Cincinnati (Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.). Listen or watch on the B2 Networks by clicking here and selecting the radio or web broadcast of the Bombers. Action returns to the Nutter Center on Saturday, November 1 as the Bombers face Cincinnati at 7:30 p.m.
