Lafayette, LA - Going against one of the hottest offenses in the TCL, the Bombers pitchers did not back down and shut out the Cane Cutters 3-0 in Louisiana.

The Bombers scored early, taking a 1-0 lead in the second inning, when Sy Snedecker drove in Zach Iverson. The only other runs of the game came in the 9th inning for the Bombers. Dylan Bonhert knocked in a pair on a double, as Zach Iverson and Robin Adames came in to score and made the final score 3-0.

The story tonight was the Bombers pitching as Austin Hendrix pitched a gem for the Bombers during 6 2/3 innings of action. His final line was 6 2/3 innings, only allowing 3 hits, 1 walk and 10 strikeouts. When his night ended, the Bombers bullpen was just as effective, allowing only 3 walks and no hits, while striking out 6 in the remaining 2 1/3.

The Bombers road trip continues tomorrow, where they will take on Acadiana for the series finale, before traveling to Victoria. The Bombers return to Travis Field on July 16th to take on the Texas Marshals.
