Acadiana Cane Cutters News Release
YOUNGSVILLE, La. - In another close game at Fabacher Field, the Acadiana Cane Cutters drop the series finale against the Brazos Valley Bombers by a score of 3-0.
Matthew Beck (LSU) started on the mound for the Cane Cutters. He threw six innings and struck out four batters. After tonight, he holds an ERA of 1.25.
According to Beck, it is important to manage hitters throughout the lineup.
The Cutters had three hits on the night but could not manage to bring in any runs. Defense was strong, especially at the plate, where two runners were caught stealing with throws from the outfield.
"It was just one of those games," commented Beck. "Our hitters have been phenomenal all year... we just couldn't string any together there at the end, but that's just baseball. We'll build, and we'll learn from it."
The Cutters will be back at Fabacher Field again tomorrow (7/18) against the Brazos Valley Bombers. It will be Like A Boss Night! Bosses from around the Acadiana area will be honored at the game! Gates open at 6 PM and first pitch is at 7 PM for all home games. To get weekly updates on the team and other fun theme nights coming up, please visit our website and subscribe to our newsletter.
