Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH - Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that defenseman Ryan Reid has signed a contract for the 2007-2008 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Ryan was one of our top defensemen last year," MacAdam said. "In fact, he was one of the best in the league."

Reid, a 27-year-old native of Chicago, Ill., ranked second in the ECHL with a plus/minus rating of +31 during the 2006-2007 regular season. He appeared in all 72 games, tallying 12 points (2G,10A) and 105 PIM, as well as appearing in all 22 games of the Bombers postseason, including the Kelly Cup Finals.

"I hope we put up another year like last season," Reid said. "We had a good group of guys and I hope we get the same thing this year. Maybe we'll win a couple more games at the end, too."

Joining the Bombers for a second season, Reid has also played for the Toledo Storm, Gwinnett Gladiators and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 220-pound Reid joins former Lake Superior State teammate Terry Denike on the Bombers 2007-2008 roster, among others.

The Bombers' Opening Night Extravaganza is Saturday, October 20, against the rival Cincinnati Cyclones (7:00 p.m.) at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Group tickets for Opening Night are on sale now by calling 775-4747.
