Bombers Make 2018 TCL Playoffs
August 2, 2018 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL)
Brazos Valley Bombers News Release
Bryan/College Station, TX - By finishing second in the TCL Standings for the first half of the season, the Brazos Valley Bombers have clinched a position in the 2018 TCL Playoffs, starting August 8th, 2018. Their first half standing has also assured the club that they will host a home playoff game during the first round against the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
If the Bombers advance to the championship series, they will take on the winner of the other Playoff matchup, hosted by the first half winners, Victoria Generals. The host team for the first game of the three game series will be determined based on who is the higher seeded team. The higher seeded team will host the first game, meaning that if the Generals and Bombers advance, the Bombers would host the first game on August 9th, with the Generals hosting games 2 and 3 (if necessary). If the Generals lose, then the Bombers would be on the road for game one and then host games 2 and 3 (if necessary) against either the Texarkana Twins or Texas Marshals.
The Bombers return action with a home series at Travis Field starting on Friday, August 3rd for Aggie Night at the ballpark against Acadiana. Tickets are on sale now at bvbombers.com.
