Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB., June 11, 2014 - As part of a strong commitment to the community, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are expanding fundraising opportunities for not-for-profit groups at Investors Group Field in 2014.
The Winnipeg Football Club is offering the chance for community groups to work as parking lot attendants for our on-campus lots and Park & Ride locations for approximately 2.5 hours on game days and on special event days, as well as working during football games and special events at many of our concession stands inside the stadium.
The amount a group can raise will vary based on which job they are doing on a given day. In the Bombers first year at Investors Group Field, more than $150,000 was raised by not-for-profit groups involved in the fundraising partnership program.
It's a perfect opportunity for community outreach groups, youth sports teams, religious organizations and civic groups to raise thousands of dollars for their initiatives, while learning to work as a team and operate in a lively, upbeat atmosphere.
Well managed not-for-profit groups consisting of energetic and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with the public and meeting new people should contact the Bombers as soon as possible at npo@bluebombers.com.
Groups must be available to work all Bombers home games and special events at Investors Group Field. Groups can be registered to work Blue Bombers home games beginning at the regular season home opener on June 26th.
