
Bombers Dump First Place Royals In Reading Friday Night

Reading, PA â The Dayton Bombers upended the Reading Royals, 4-3, in front of 5,177 at The Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania Friday night.
The Bombers struck first when JUSTIN KINNUNEN buried his 6th goal of the season at 10:48. Just 50 seconds later, Graig Mischler tied the game, 1-1, with a powerplay goal at 11:38. AARON FOSTER gave Dayton a 2-1 lead with his 11th goal of the season, on the backhand, at 16:17 of the first period.
In the second period, JEFF SZWEZ gave Dayton a 2-goal lead, 3-1, at 8:26. Adam Borzecki pulled Reading within one, 3-2, with a powerplay goal at 9:57. Then, former Bombers forward Preston Mizzi tied the game, 3-3. Bombers starting goaltender SIMON LAJEUNESSE was pulled after Mizzi's goal. He faced 16 shots and allowed three goals through 32:15.
The only goal in the third period proved to be the game-winner from AARON FOSTER who recorded his second goal of the night at 13:14.
The Bombers 6-game road trip ends Sunday evening against the division-rival Wheeling Nailers. Audio coverage begins at 5:00 PM at daytonbombers.com.
