Victoria, TX - In the first game of a two game series between the top two teams in the first half of the TCL season, the Bombers fell on the road 8-5. While the Bombers took an early lead, they could not overcome a big 3rd inning from the Victoria offense.

The Bombers took the lead right away, scoring in the first inning off a Alex Nielsen ground ball that scored Danny Mitchell and gave the Bombers an early 1-0 lead. The Bombers would then double their lead when Cam Blake got an RBI single that brought in Casey Danley to score for a 2-0 Bombers lead.

This would be the last time the Bombers would lead as the Generals would score 4 runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-2 lead. The Bombers would come back to tie the game in the fourth inning after Casey Danley tripled in a run and then scored on a stolen base to make the score 4-4. The Generals wpild score a pair in the 5th and a run in the 7th and 8th innings to give them a comfortable lead. The last Bomber run came in the 8th when Dylan Gardner was able to draw a walk and drive in Bennett Inoff from third.

The Bombers road trip continues tomorrow, where they will take on Victoria for the series finale. The Bombers return to Travis Field on July 16th to take on the Texas Marshals.
