Victoria, TX - Tonight was not the way the Bombers wanted to end the road trip, as they fell to Victoria 2-1. While the Bombers pitching was very effective in stopping the Generals bats, they could not generate any offense of their own in tonight's game.

The Bombers scored first, as Cam Blake scored on an error from the Generals shortstop to make the score 1-0. Unfortunately, that was the only time the Bombers scored tonight, as the Bombers bats went cold for the remainder of the game. The Generals scored a pair of runs in the 5th inning to take the lead, that they would not give up as they went on to win 2-1 tonight.

Bombers starting pitcher Jesse Heikkinen was impactful for the Bombers as he pitched 5 innings, only allowing 4 hits and the two runs, while striking out three. The Bombers bullpen was even more effective, as they allowed just two hits and struck out three in the remaining three innings of play.

The Bombers return to Travis Field on tomorrow night at 7:05 to take on the Texas Marshals for a pair of games before heading back on the road.
