Bombers Announce 2011 Promotional Schedule

(Battle Creek, MI) -The Battle Creek Bombers, a member of the prestigious Northwoods League, released its 2011 Promotional Schedule today highlighted with five Firework shows, eight Thirsty Thursdays, and eight Friday giveaways commemorating the Bombers 5th season in Battle Creek.

Single game tickets for the 2011 Battle Creek Bombers' season can be purchased online at battlecreekbombers.com, by phone at 269-962-0735, or in person at the Bombers' office located at 189 Bridge Street in Battle Creek.

The Bombers will begin their home schedule on Wednesday, June 1st with an Opening Night celebration and magnetic schedule giveaway. The following night will feature a Team Poster giveaway and Project 32 performing LIVE for the first Thirsty Thursday of the 2011 season.

The Bombers will host three Bobblehead Doll giveaways with each one featuring unique characteristics with the Bombers and Northwoods League representation. With the release of the new logo earlier in 2011, the Fierce Mosquito Bobblehead will debut on Friday, June 3rd . The "Eye of the Tiger", Max Scherzer Bobblehead will be given out on Friday, July 15th, and the famous Moe Skeeter bobblehead on Friday, August 12th.

Some new items on the Bombers promotional slate include two Ladies Night diamond digs on Thursday, June 23rd and Thursday, July 28th where ladies will have the opportunity to dig up a diamond in the infield after the game. The Bombers will also be giving away a car courtesy of Lakeview Ford on July 9th, and appearances by Drew Stanton and Eric Smith on Michigan State Night on Thursday, July 21st.

Dog-friendly promotions will return to C.O. Brown Stadium on Sunday, June 12th with Bark in the Park. This event allows fans to bring their canines with them to the stadium and enjoy the Sunday afternoon watching Zeke the Wonder Dog. Zeke the Wonder Dog will also make a second appearance on Saturday, July 16th.

Bomber fans at each Monday game will have the chance to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras Mondays at C.O. Brown Stadium with drink specials on margaritas, daiquiris, and pina coladas. On Tuesdays, there will be two for one specials on beer, soda, hot dogs, and popcorn to share with a friends. Wednesdays will be Winning Wednesdays where Bomber fans will receive a free ticket to the next Wednesdays game with a Bombers win. Thursdays the Bombers will continue with the popular Thirsty Thursdays with $1 beers and sodas. On Thursdays the Bombers will be hosting live local bands at the refurbished longest outdoor bar in Michigan with new TV's and new sound system. Fridays, fans will be able to walk away with free custom giveaways all season long. After every Saturday game, the sky of C.O. Brown Stadium will light up with fireworks presented by St. Farm Insurance, and on Sundays the family will have the opportunity to participate in Sunday Family Funday where kids will be able to run the bases, receive player autographs, enjoy the Binder Park Zoomobile, and get in free as a member of the Kids Club.

Also added to the schedule are a slew of theme nights including Faith Night (June 13), Rockin' Valley Family Faith Night (June 22), Back to the Battle Cats II Night (June 24), Networking Night (Thursday, June 30), Awful Cereal Night (July 11), Health and Fitness Night (July 20), Mosquito Appreciation Night (August 10), and Fear the Beard Night (August 21).
