
Bombers Announce 2008-09 Season Schedule

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers Professional "AA" Hockey Team, along with the ECHL, Ervin J. Nutter Center and Hobart Arena, announced their home schedule today for the 2008-09 regular season.
The Bombers open their 18th anniversary season at home against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 at the Nutter Center.
The 36-game home schedule features 30 weekend dates including 9 Friday nights, 13 Saturday nights and 8 early evening games on Sunday; games at the Nutter Center on Monday through Saturday will be at 7:00 p.m., while Sunday games will be played at 5:00 p.m.
Bombers team president, Costa Papista states: "We are thrilled with our 18th anniversary / 2008-2009 schedule. We have worked very hard with the league, the Nutter Center and Hobart Arena to maximize weekend dates for our fans. This is definitely the best home schedule that the team has seen in the past five years."
The Bombers will play six games at historic Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio, throughout the 2008-09 season. There will be a pair of Saturday games each in November and February, and a back-to-back Saturday/Sunday matchup in March. Saturday games at Hobart Arena are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., while the Sunday, March 22 game will begin at 5:00 p.m.
The schedule also features a nine-game homestand (November 28-December 19) and two five-game home streaks (February 7-18 and March 21-28). The Bombers have a pair of six-game road trips scheduled, from November 18-25 and January 13-24. During the November road trip the Bombers will play five games against South Division teams Augusta Lynx, Gwinnett Gladiators and South Carolina Stingrays.
Highlighting the Bombers season are special holiday weekends in November and December. The Bombers will be in action at home for Thanksgiving weekend on Friday, November 28 through Sunday, November 30. Over the Christmas holiday the Bombers will host the Cyclones, Reading Royals and Wheeling Nailers on Friday, December 26 through Sunday, December 28 respectively.
The Bombers will close out their home season on Saturday, March 28 against the Trenton Devils. The team will play three games on the road to close out the road schedule, ending on Saturday, April 4 in Reading.
