Dubois County Bombers News Release

HUNTINGBURG, Ind. - The first-half Western Division Champion Dubois County Bombers have sent eight players to the 2012 Prospect League All-Star Game, which is July 11 at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Ill.

They are:

- Bo Ausmus, who hit .247 in 24 games as a second baseman and designated hitter with 21 runs scored and 13 RBI;

- Alex Britt, who had a 2.40 ERA as he proved to be the Bombers' most consistent starter, striking out 31 in 41.1 innings en route to a 3-1 record. He's pitched the second most innings in the PL thus far;

- Kolin Conner, who hit .305 in 23 games as a catcher, first baseman and designated hitter, including five home runs, seven doubles and 27 RBI;

- Landon Curry, who hit .337 in 25 games as a leftfielder and never left the Bombers leadoff spot, scoring 32 runs and stealing 16 bases (second in the PL);

- Cody Daily, who hit .267 in 29 games as a third baseman, scoring 16 runs and driving in 17;

- Nick Green, who struck out 28 in 21.1 innings and earned 2.95 ERA as he emerged as the Bombers' closer with five saves;

- Dalton Rouleau, who hit .304 in 31 games as a shortstop, second baseman and designated hitter, scoring 28 runs and knocking in 17; and

- Ty Simpson, who finished the first half with a 2.16 ERA as both a starter and reliever, earning a 2-1 record with 2 saves as he struck out 26 in 33.1 innings.

All of the players above were named as reserves, but the Bombers' depth is obvious: The eight players they send to the All-Star Game are second most in the PL (behind Chillicothe's 10) and the most from any team in the Western Division.

Bombers manager Ryan Anderson will manage the Western All-Stars.

The Bombers remain in first place in the Western Division with a 2-0 record in the second half (after a 20-9 record to win the division in the first half).
