2009 Season
The Boise Hawks 2009 season is just around the corner, with Opening Day on Saturday June 20th with a three day homestand against Tri-City.
2009 brings some changes for the Boise Hawks Baseball Club. On April 6th the Boise Hawks officially launched their new website on the MLBAM platform. With the launch of the new website the Boise Hawks also have a new third party e-mail, Bronto! With Bronto you will be able to receive Hawks newsletters, Highlights and Game Stats, Merchandise coupons and information and so much more.......
The Boise Hawks also welcome a new field staff to Boise for the 2009 season. Casey Kopitzke will make his managerial debut in Boise, David Rosario returns to Boise as the Hawks pitching coach. Rosario begins his 6th season in the Cubs' system. Desi Wilson begins his second season in the Cubs' organization as Boise's hitting coach and Dan Golden rounds out the Hawks' 2009 field staff serving as the club's athletic trainer.
The Hawks celebrate the 20th anniversary of Memorial Stadium in 2009 - it will be their 23rd season of Northwest League play. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.

The month of May is filled with exciting events at the Boise Hawks Memorial Stadium! Free, Family, Fun!
The Boise Hawks and Drug Free Idaho are kicking off the summer with their Fan Fest Celebration on Friday, May 8 at Boise Hawks Memorial Stadium, 5600 N. Glenwood St. Boise Idaho 83714.The Boise Hawks and Drug Free Idaho are hosting an evening of fun and substance abuse prevention, education and safety awareness. The FREE event will start at 6:00 p.m. with the Boise Police Rock Band Johnny Law performing at 9:00 p.m. and a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
High School Baseball!
The Boise Hawks are set to host the 2009 SIC Invitational State Baseball Tournament at Memorial Stadium, 5600 N. Glenwood St Boise Idaho 83714 on May 14, 15 and 16. Admission for the games will be $6.00 for adults, $4.00 with an activity card for students, and $3.00 for seniors. A tournament pass will cost $35.00 for adults, $25.00 for students and will be sold on Thursday May 14.
Game times will be at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 4:30 pm and 7:15 pm on May 14 and 15. The May 16 games will be held at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm and the Championship game will be at 7:00 pm. The stadium will be cleared between sessions. The morning session includes the 10:00 am game and the 1:00 pm game. The afternoon session includes the 4:30 pm game and the 7:15 pm game. "Blues, Brews and BBQ's!" Summer is almost here and why not ring it in with a good ol' fashioned BBQ! But we aren't just throwing a BBQ, on Saturday May 30th the Boise Hawks are going to host their first "Blues, Brews and BBQ's" benefiting the Idaho Humane Society.
Ticket Information:
$7 in advance, includes 5 beer and food tokens. $10 at the gate, includes 5 beer and food tokens. Under 21: $5 in advance with food tokens, $8 at the gate with food tokens. Kids 5 and under will be Free. Additional beer tokens $.50 each Four additional beer and food tokens will be given to those who bring a bag of dog food, cat food or cat litter to donate to the Idaho Humane Society at the Gate This event will act as a pet food drive for the Idaho Humane Society. In addition, a portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Idaho Humane Society.
Tickets are on sale RIGHT NOW online at www.boisehawks.com, as well as at Highlands Hollow, The Ram, Sockeye Grill, and Tablerock.
We will have beer vendors, BBQ vendors and then 5 "Blues Bands"
- Bands include: The BoDo Brothers, Hoochie Coochie Men, Blues Addicts, Bitterbrush Blues Band, Paul Peterson Band and the Next In Line
- Beer Vendors include: Sockeye, Tablerock, The Ram, Highland Hollow, Sun Valley Brewery and Idaho Distributing
- BBQ Vendors include: Iron Horse BBQ, Big Daddy BBQ Company, Spuds BBQ, Brother Browns BBQ, and Idaho BBQ
People's Choice! BBQ Vendors will be required to cook both pulled pork and brisket to serve to the public for people's choice.
The public will be given a ballot when they enter with a ticket for a sample from each vendor, they will use these ballots to vote for their favorite BBQ. The public will also have the opportunity to vote on their favorite Brew and Band for the People's Choice Award. The winning BBQ vendor, brewer and band will receive a 1 night gig at the Boise Hawks stadium on Saturday July 18.
Don't worry, bring the kids! We will also have kid friendly activities like bounce houses, obstacles and non alcoholic beverages!
The Idaho Humane Society will be down at the event from 12-5 with their mobile unit "Spot" collecting donated items and adopting animals.
Come out for a great summer time event, and also to show your support for the Idaho Humane Society.
