
Bobcats Split Two with Blizzard

The Bismarck Bobcats (29-13-1, 59 points) lost to the Alexandria Blizzard (22-17-3, 47 points) Friday night 2-1. The loss for the Bobcats snaps the home-winning streak at eleven games and a win streak of nine games. However, the pink jerseys were a victory with the Bobcats raising $5,775 for the American Cancer Society's - Relay for Life.
The Bobcats earned a victory over the Blizzard on Thursday night winning 3-1.
However, on Friday the Bobcats would get on the board first in the second period, as Cody Keefer netted the goal assisted by Devin Schmitt on the power play. The Bobcats finished 1-5 on the power play.
In the third period, Alexandria scored short-handed as Blizzard goalie Ryan Leets sent a pass up the middle to Joe Knoepke who would put it past Bobcat goalie David Bosner 7:19 into the final period. Knoepke would also receive an assist on the game-winning goal scored by Tyler Swanson with1:27 left in the game.
The Bobcats are still 7-2 against the Blizzard this season and play Alexandria another five times, including Saturday night in Alexandria.
