Bobcats Battle Blizzard in Two

The Bismarck Bobcats (30-13-1, 61 points) play a two-game series in Alexandria, Minnesota against the Blizzard (22-18-4, 48 points) on Saturday and Sunday night in the Runestone Community Center. Currently, the Bobcats are in first place in the Central Division ahead of North Iowa by two points. The Bobcats have won eight of the ten games against Alexandria this season.

The Blizzard have some solid offensive weapons. Jerry Freismuth leads Alexandria in points (48), while Joe Knoepke leads the team in goals (18). However, the Bobcats held Freismuth to one point in the three games last weekend against the Blizzard.

Matt Grogan has been on fire in the net in the last four games he has started. Grogan has only allowed five goals and has a save percentage of .969. He is coming off back-to-back "Goalie of the Week" honors in the North American Hockey League.

The Bobcats have the third best power play in the North American Hockey League at 18.1%. Bismarck's penalty kill is fourth in the NAHL at 87.8%.

Alexandria's power play is ranked fourth at 17.8%, while their penalty kill is 15th at 83.3%.
