Bismarck Bobcats News Release
The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered 5'11" 180 lb. defenseman, John Avino. You may remember him in a 'Cats uniform, as he had a short stint in the Den over Christmas. He also has experience from playing with the 2006-2007 Dubuque Thunderbirds of the CSHL, where he netted 2 goals and tallied 6 helpers for a total of 8 points. He hails from Mount Prospect, IL and was born in 1989.
"John is a steady defenseman who takes care of his own end first," stated Bobcats head coach Byron Pool. "He competes about as hard as any player I have seen this year and comes from a strong program in Dubuque in which he was a big part. I expect John to be able to step in and play a similar role with our program next year."
