Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard is pleased to announce the return of Bob Landsee as Head Coach of the Green Bay Blizzard for the 2008 season.

Landsee, who took a leave of absence prior to the start of the 2007 season due to complications from knee surgery, was replaced by Doug Lytle, who in his first year as head coach garnered a 9-7 regular season record and a trip back to the American Conference Championship game for the second consecutive season. Lytle, who served as an assistant under Landsee with the Blizzard during the 2005 and 2006 seasons, will serve as the Vice President of Football Operations.

"We are very excited to have Bob back and to have the entire staff back that led us to the ArenaCup in 2006. Bob has the ability to continue the success we have had the last couple of seasons and we are delighted to get him back," said Blizzard President Brian Noble.

"Doug did a fantastic job last season and exceeded all of our expectations for a first year head coach. There are no teams in the af2 that can boast having three af2 head coaches on their coaching staff," added Noble.

Also returning to the Blizzard coaching staff in 2008 is former Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator, Mark Stoute. This season will be Stoute's 15th season in Arena Football most recently serving as the Head Coach of the Laredo Lobos in 2007. Before joining the Blizzard, Stoute and Landsee were members of the Toronto Phantoms (2002) and the Indiana Firebirds (2004) coaching staffs.
