Bristol Blues News Release
In last night's battle between the Blues and the Torrington Titans, the Blues were unable to capitalize on the 2-1 lead they gained early on in the fourth inning. The Titans were able to battle back with a run in the fifth and then in the tenth to secure the win and make the Blues record 26-19 on the season.
Davis Strong (St. Mary's) stood out again on the offensive side of the ball, going 2 for 5 and knocking in the team's only RBI on the game. Blues starting pitcher Dom LoBrutto (Florida International) was able to go four and two-thirds innings, allowing just two runs, none of which were earned, on five hits. Titans winning pitcher was named as Ray Krieger and Blues losing pitcher was Riley Streit (Amherst).
The Blues are back at Muzzy tonight, July 30, against the Worcester Bravehearts at 7pm as Troy Terzi looks to get the Blues back into their early-season form. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
