
Blues Sweep Weekend

Springfield Jr. Blues News Release
After an 8-0 win over the University of Illinois on Friday night the Springfield Jr. Blues were able to come back the next night to complete the sweep with a 5-0 victory at the Nelson Center.
The Jr. Blues were scored 2 goals in the second period to give them the lead that maintained remainder of the game. The first goal was scored by Anthony Tzveyn and assisted by Drew Richter and the second was scored unassisted by Kyle Meeh. Jeff Skinner was able to add another in the third period with assists by Joey Lupo and Meeh followed by a goal by Trevor Stone assisted by Anthony Scarsella. Lupo added one more insurance goal with assists from Hunter Schneider and Skinner.
The Jr. Blues move to 2-0 in the preseason and have two more games next weekend against Lindenwood University to finish up their preseason slate. Their regular season will begin Friday, October 2nd against the Coulee Region Chill.
