In last night's clash between the Worcester Bravehearts and the Bristol Blues, the Blues were shut out by a score of 4-0.
Blues leading hitter Austin Chauvin re-entered the lineup as he had battled a hand injury over the last few games and was held to no hits by the Braveheart's pitching staff. Blues pitcher Steven Wallace from DeSales was given the loss after hurling 4.2 innings allowing three earned runs and adding four strikeouts to the stat line. Michael Nocera and Dillion Burke came in to relieve Wallace with Nocera adding five more strikeouts to the final strikeout count. Winning pitcher for the Braveheart's was Dylan Collett who was able to go seven innings and only surrendered three hits to the Blues.
The Blues return to action tonight, Friday June 19, to take on the Nashua Silver Knights at Muzzy Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
