
Blueliner Valleau Returns to Rockford on PTO

Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs today announced they have signed defenseman Nolan Valleau to a Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Valleau, 25, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, serving as an alternate captain and totaling 30 points (8g, 22a) and 126 shots in 37 games. He led all team defensemen in scoring and ranked fourth overall among Orlando skaters in points.
The 6-1, 177-lbs blueliner then signed a PTO with the AHL's Chicago Wolves on Jan. 31 and recorded a pair of shots over seven contests.
A Native of Novi, Michigan, Valleau originally made his professional debut with the IceHogs during the 2015-16 campaign. He skated in 108 games over two seasons (2015-17) and collected 20 points (4g, 16a) with 34 penalty minutes.
Prior to making his pro debut, Valleau notched 19 points (2g, 17a) with 35 penalty minutes in 39 games with Bowling Green State University during the 2014-15 campaign. His 19 points ranked second among BGSU defensemen and he was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team.

The IceHogs host the Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
