Bluefish defeated by Pride, 6-4

Bridgeport, CT – May 25, 2004 – The Bridgeport Bluefish were defeated by the Nashua Pride 6-4, in front of 1,887 fans at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

The Bluefish struck first as Hector Kuilan hit a three run double to deep center field off Nashua starter Matt Hammons. Scoring for the ‘Fish were D.J. Boston, Ben Candelaria, and Jamie Gann. Nashua didn't waste anytime getting on the board in the fourth inning as James Lofton and Murray scored on a Kevan Burns double to center field, later advancing on the throw, to make the score 3-2.

Keith Lu'uloa hit a solo homerun over the left field wall with no outs in the bottom of the sixth to put the ‘Fish up two, 4-2. The Pride tied the game in the seventh inning when Ricardo Cordova hit a double to center field to score Carlos Rodriguez and Mike Lopez-Cao. A double by Lopez Cao scored Glenn Murray and Rodriguez in the eighth to put the Pride up 6-4.

Starter Kevin Henthorne went seven innings giving up four runs off five hits while walking two and striking out three for the Bluefish. Stevenson Agosto came in for the eighth inning in relief for Bridgeport. Terry Rosenkranz came in for the ninth.
