
Bluefish Beat the Rain and the Patriots

Bridgewater, NJ- After a two hour and 45 minute rain delay, the Bridgeport Bluefish defeated the Somerset Patriots 3-2 in the first game of a double header at TD Bank Ballpark on Sunday evening.
The Bluefish rallied to score two runs in the top of the seventh on RBI base hits by Luis Rodriguez and Colin Roberson for the win.
Bridgeport jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a solo homerun by Luis Lopez (8).
The Patriots scored to tie the game at one in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI single by Justin Huber.
An RBI single by Jeff Nettles in the bottom of the fifth scored Joe Burke and gave Somerset a 2-1 advantage.
Bridgeport reliever Chris Rivera (4-0) got the win after tossing a scoreless inning. Ryan Houston (0-2) suffered the loss for the Patriots, surrendering two runs in the seventh inning. Juan Rincon picked up his 19th save of the season for the Bluefish.
