BlueClaws To Send Winner To Phillies New Park In Style

(Lakewood, N.J.) The Lakewood BlueClaws will begin selling individual tickets Saturday, February 21st. Fans will be treated with free prizes, food and beverages and a ClawsCove sale. One lucky fan that visits the ballpark that day will win four tickets and a limousine ride to a Phillies game to watch the second game ever played in new Citizens Bank Park.

Ticket windows will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. February 21st at FirstEnergy Park for individual ticket sales. Saturday's events will include tours of FirstEnergy Park, free food and drink and fans will be invited to take a few cuts in the BlueClaws' batting cages inside the ballpark. In addition, there will be a 25% sale on all the items in the ClawsCove.

"This is one of the most exciting days in our ballpark and each year we try to make it better." BlueClaws general manager Geoff Brown said. "We're going to have a great day this year with our fans that come to get tickets on the first day they're available. From free food, to the prizes and the limo trip to the Phillies game, it's their day."

This season fans will have more giveaway dates than previous years, including five bobblehead dates and 12 firework show nights. In addition, nearly 50 group nights have been planned this year at FirstEnergy Park.

The team's longest home stands are in May and August, running from May 10-17 and August 2-9. In addition to being home for the 4th of July, Lakewood also will be home for Memorial Day, which this year is May 31st. On the schedule are 11 Fridays, 11 Saturdays and 11 Sunday dates. Fans interested in Full-Season tickets will be able to walk in the park and take a look at their seats. The two Bushel of BlueClaws plans will be on sale and Partial Plan packages will be available.

The BlueClaws begin their fourth season April 8th at Kannapolis, and play their home opener April 12th against the Charleston (WV) Alley Cats at 6:35 p.m. The BlueClaws are the fastest professional baseball team in New Jersey and South Atlantic League history to draw one MILLION people.
