LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws will hold their eighth annual "Breakfast with Buster" food and toy drive Saturday, December 13th at FirstEnergy Park. Manhattan Bagel of Brick is providing free bagels and coffee to all patrons who drop off items between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Buster and his holiday friend, Santa Claus, will be at FirstEnergy Park to greet fans as they drop off items and enjoy free coffee and bagels.
"The last seven years the community support for this event has been overwhelming," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "This year, before you start your Saturday you can grab a bagel and a cup of coffee, and help those less fortunate this holiday season."
All collected items go to the Salvation Army of Ocean County, and the BlueClaws ask that all toys be unwrapped, and all food be non-perishable.
The Lakewood BlueClaws welcomed 425,166 fans to FirstEnergy Park during the 2008 season which upped their eight-season total to 3,595,378. They have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons.
