Blue Rocks Host Potomac; Lynchburg

WILMINGTON, DE – The Wilmington Blue Rocks host Carolina League Northern Division opponents, Potomac Cannons and Lynchburg Hillcats, both for the first in 2003, during the upcoming homestand from May 20-25, 2003. An 11:00 a.m. School Kids Special and a pre-game Cal Ripken clinic are some of the highlights included in the homestand.

The Blue Rocks return home on Tuesday, May 20 to host the Potomac Cannons for a three-game series. Game time is 7:05 p.m. as the Delaware Division of Libraries presents Insulated Lunch Bags for the first 1,500 fans. The Rocks and Cannons play at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday as Beach Tote Bags are presented to the first 1,500 fans courtesy of Widener University. On Thursday morning, the Blue Rocks host Potomac in the second of two School Kids Specials with an 11:00 a.m. start. The first 1,250 kids receive a youth t-shirt compliments of Risk Watch.

The Rocks welcome the Lynchburg Hillcats into Frawley Stadium on Friday, May 23. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a sports bag courtesy of Uniqema. Cal Ripken, Jr. and the Ripken Baseball Academy will host a clinic for all fans to view from 6:15-7:00 p.m. The Rocks and the Hillcats will start at a special time of 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, May 24, the Rocks and Hillcats play prior to the postgame fireworks show presented by Wilmington Trust. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Frawley. The Rocks wrap-up their six-game homestand on Sunday, May 25 as the two teams square-off at 1:35 p.m. Prior to the game on Sunday, the Delaware Division of Libraries presents Story Time Sunday and following the game, the Diamond Derby will be run courtesy of Al's Sporting Goods.

Blue Rocks Notes: The Blue Rocks radio show, Inside Pitch with Steve Lenox, will air on Saturday, May 17 at 6:00 p.m., which follows the Blue Rocks-Myrtle Beach game at 2:05 p.m. The show can be heard on the Blue Rocks Radio Network of AM 1290 WJBR and 1410 AM WDOV.
