The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have optioned INF LARS ANDERSON to the Buffalo Bisons.

Anderson, 25, played eight exhibition games with the Blue Jays this spring and hit .357 (5-14) with three doubles and three RBI. He also drew three walks for a .471 on-base percentage and a .571 slugging percentage.

Anderson, an 18th round pick of the Boston Red Sox in 2006, split last season between Pawtucket and the Columbus Clippers following a late-season trade to the Indians organization. In 111 games combined, the slugger hit .250 with 27 doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 59RBI.

Over the last three seasons at Triple-A, Anderson has collected 90 doubles, 33 home runs and 190RBI in 360 games. A noted-Bisons killer, Anderson is a career .291 hitter with 17 extra-base hits and 27RBI in 36 games against the Herd.
