Blue Jackets Trim Training Camp Roster, Assign 19 Players to Monsters

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Monsters, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Monday that the Blue Jackets trimmed their training camp roster and assigned the following 19 players to the Monsters:

Forwards (12)

Vitaly Abramov, Paul Bittner, Dan DeSalvo, Maxime Fortier, Brett Gallant, Nikita Korostelev, Miles Koules, Ryan MacInnis, Justin Scott, Kole Sherwood, Calvin Thurkauf, Trent Vogelhuber

Defensemen (6)

Brady Austin, Garret Cockerill, Ryan Collins, Blake Siebenaler, Doyle Somerby, Justin Wade

Goaltenders (1)

Brad Thiessen

Additionally, forwards Zac Dalpe and Nathan Gerbe, along with defensemen Tommy Cross and Dillon Simpson, were placed on waivers by Columbus on Monday for the purpose of assigning them to Cleveland. The Monsters' 2018 training camp schedule will be announced in the coming days, along with Cleveland's official training camp roster.
